FAQ – Creating a Hive Record

Create a hive record for a bee colony

In BeeInTouch, you create a stock card for each colony. It bundles master data, inapections, health, and performance data, making seasonal developments traceable - a solid basis for management and breeding decisions.

In addition to basic data such as hive number, year colour, location, and hive type, you can – if available – record the Beebreed breeding book number and, for Buckfast colonies, enter the Buckfast pedigree. This keeps each colony’s lineage clearly documented.

The inspection process in BeeInTouch can be customised: choose from over 70 criteria relevant to your practice and document them with just a few clicks – flexible, precise and tailored to your beekeeping style.
